This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every ClarifyLeads account, user, integration, job, upload, export and result. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Permitted purpose
ClarifyLeads may be used for legitimate B2B company research, business-contact data quality, website and domain research, market discovery, evidence review, contact extraction from authorised materials, channel-presence checks and internal lead or CRM operations.
Use must be lawful, proportionate, transparent where required and connected to a genuine business or professional purpose.
2. Authority over data
You may submit or process data only where you have a lawful basis and the necessary authority. You must be able to explain where data came from, why your use is necessary, how long you will retain it and how a person can object or opt out where applicable.
Public availability, a business title, a corporate email address or a positive channel-presence result does not automatically authorise marketing, surveillance, resale or unrestricted reuse.
3. Prohibited data
Unless ClarifyLeads expressly agrees in a written enterprise arrangement, you must not submit, infer, enrich or store:
- data about children;
- health, genetic or biometric data;
- racial or ethnic origin, religion, philosophical belief, political opinion, union membership or sexual-life/orientation data;
- government identity numbers, passport or national-ID copies;
- financial-account or payment-card data;
- passwords, API keys, authentication cookies or other credentials;
- private message content or unlawfully intercepted communications;
- precise private-location or household-surveillance data;
- criminal-offence data where processing is not specifically lawful and authorised; or
- leaked, stolen, breached, malware-derived or unlawfully purchased datasets.
Business-card images must be limited to ordinary professional contact information and must not include unrelated sensitive material.
4. Prohibited conduct
You must not use, attempt to use or assist another person to use the Service to:
4.1 Spam, harassment or surveillance
- send or facilitate spam, repeated unwanted contact or deceptive outreach;
- harass, intimidate, threaten, shame or target an individual;
- stalk, monitor, map relationships or infer private activity;
- systematically enumerate whether private individuals use a communication platform;
- contact a person after an opt-out, objection or do-not-contact request; or
- evade suppression lists or sender-identification rules.
4.2 Fraud and deception
- impersonate another person or organisation;
- create fake companies, misleading identities or deceptive offers;
- engage in phishing, social engineering, credential theft or account takeover;
- misrepresent the origin, accuracy, consent status or legal usability of data;
- generate fraudulent invoices, applications, reviews or evidence; or
- use results to deceive a payment provider, platform, regulator or data subject.
4.3 Illegal or discriminatory decisions
- discriminate unlawfully or profile protected characteristics;
- make employment, credit, insurance, housing, healthcare, education, immigration or similar high-impact decisions solely from ClarifyLeads output;
- identify vulnerable persons for exploitation;
- facilitate trafficking, sanctions evasion, corruption, illegal trade or other crime; or
- violate export-control, sanctions, anti-bribery or anti-money-laundering laws.
4.4 Platform and technical abuse
- bypass provider, account, CAPTCHA, rate, geographic or technical restrictions;
- use unauthorised automation against WhatsApp, Telegram, Zalo or another platform;
- probe, scan or test ClarifyLeads security without prior written permission;
- upload malware or execute denial-of-service, credential-stuffing or injection attacks;
- scrape, copy or mirror the ClarifyLeads interface or protected database;
- reverse engineer or circumvent credit, billing, access, job-isolation or deletion controls;
- access another user's data or guess identifiers;
- overload the Service through abnormal concurrency, bulk retries or abusive traffic; or
- conceal the source of requests through a method intended to defeat enforcement.
4.5 Unlawful data acquisition and resale
- upload stolen or unlawfully obtained lead lists;
- use ClarifyLeads primarily to build or resell dossiers about natural persons;
- operate an unlicensed or unlawful data-broker service;
- scrape websites in breach of law, access controls or enforceable restrictions;
- republish substantial source content or proprietary databases; or
- remove source, attribution, copyright or opt-out information where it must be preserved.
5. Channel checks
Channel-presence tools may be used only for business contact numbers that you are authorised to process. They may not be used for curiosity checks, intimate-partner monitoring, employee surveillance, political profiling, mass enumeration or testing a leaked phone-number list.
You must use only a connected platform account that you own or are authorised to operate. A channel result is a transient technical signal and must not be presented as proof of identity, consent, activity, affiliation or message deliverability.
6. Public-web and search features
You must respect applicable copyright, database rights, website terms, robots or access controls where legally relevant, and personal-data rules. Do not instruct the Service to access private, authenticated, paywalled or technically restricted content without authority.
Exports are for lawful internal business use. You are responsible for source-specific restrictions and for deleting information that is no longer relevant or lawful to retain.
7. AI-assisted features
Do not use AI features to generate defamatory allegations, fabricate evidence, infer sensitive traits or make high-impact decisions about individuals. Review source evidence and correct errors before use.
You must not attempt to extract model secrets, bypass safety controls, inject malicious instructions into third-party content or cause provider abuse.
8. Fair use and account integrity
“Unlimited” storage or access, where advertised, does not permit infrastructure resale, archival dumping, excessive unused storage, automated account farming or workloads materially inconsistent with ordinary B2B use.
You may not create duplicate accounts to obtain additional welcome credits, manipulate referral or payment systems, share paid access outside your organisation or resell access without written authorisation.
9. Enforcement
We may rate-limit, block a job, require verification, preserve evidence, remove content, suspend integrations, revoke promotional credits, suspend or terminate an account, and notify a provider or authority where reasonably necessary to address suspected abuse or legal obligations.
We will consider severity, intent, harm, repetition, cooperation and the feasibility of remediation. Serious security, fraud, harassment, unlawful-data or platform-abuse cases may result in immediate action without prior notice.
Termination for an AUP breach does not create a refund right.
10. Reporting abuse
Report suspected misuse to [email protected] with enough information for us to investigate. Do not include passwords, full payment-card numbers or unnecessary sensitive data.
